KimchiBowl-Banner-02

“Bridging Across Generations with Oral History: A Collaborative Theatre Project” will be showing a work-in-progress at Nodutdol’s Annual Fundraiser on December 13, 2014!

Location: Asian American Writers Workshop, 112 West 27th St. Suite 600, New York NY.

Time: 6-9pm (Sliding scale $20, no one will be turned away)

After spending several sessions getting ready – complete with art-making and recording sessions, we hope to share our work thus far integrating oral histories with sound, video, visuals and live performance. We will be featuring two elders’ stories, one centered around childhood memories of the Korean War, and one centered on a military dictatorship memory as an adult. The clips will be bilingual, featuring Korean audio with English subs and voiceovers. We will also have live Korean drumming by artists Skim and Meejin. Our oral history participants will also be in attendance.

OH-KimchiBowl-Still3Please support the work of our project, and attend Kimchi Bowl to see this exciting new development of our collaborative theatrical project!
